Hi everbody, just wanted to give you the scoop on yesterday on the south side of the cape, Baitcaster had 2 clients out in the morning, but no fish around, he went back down to cotuit and oregon beach and slammed the blue fish right at dusk, this is a great place to hit the next couple of weeks for those springtime blues. They will get a few in the morning but most of them will be caught in the evening, fish are averaging 6-12lbs. Baitcaster got 20 + blues before it all was over. So get out there and get those pluggs working, Try using Roberts rangers, chartruse or red and whit, Atoms poppers if you have any left, try white or white and blue or Lime green. Don't forget those steel leaders. Don't need them real long 6-9 inches will do the trick. There are also some good bass in the mix with these fish as I got one on thurday that was 31 inches, one was 29". I was using a yozuri mag popper and was getting bluefish and bass. On my 7 ft schoolie rod. It was awesome!!!!! Some of the smaller bass have moved out of that area for now, and i do believe it is due to the blues being around, same thing happened last year, but they will return
for sure.
John as for recovery time won't know until next week but probably looking at a couple of months, time will tell. as for those pictures, we will maybe get them too you some evening this week if you have the time to hook up, so let me know.
tight lines everyone,
