We're waiting for Jane's mother to die.The cancer has taken her body and the drugs have taken her mind.Only 69 and has been in a nursing home for close to six years.

A terrible and sad way to go.Any day now hopefully.

Very sorry to hear this - give Jane a hug for us.

A tough way to watch somebody go,especially somebody you love.Keep your strength for Jane's sake and cherish the good times.Sucks that people have to die under these circumstances.Religious whackjobs have prevented us from a more comfortable and dignified means to an end and that is a shame.

She now spends all her time at the home waiting.My job now is to take care of the dogs and make sure the house is taken care of,do the grocery shopping,do all the cooking.Taking the stress of daily life from her helps a lot I think.

Though she still won't let me do the laundry!

I actually need to get off this machine and get ass to Stop&Shop.

My sympathy for everyone involved.

sorry to hear that. I've been there twice with my parents.
Its amazing what the human body can stand. My mom did not drink or eat for 2 straight weeks, no iv, nothing. My sister and I just sat there and waited.
Its terrible but this is the life cycle, we'll all be there some day. Support, love and stay strong.

Through all the different feelings you will experience in the next weeks at least you know she is not suffering anymore. My sincerest condolences to your entire family.
