It's just a film. The clam & cold has allowed it to build clear across Country Pond in Kingston NH where I live..

Usually can get out before the New Year on a few inches - just enough to catch a pickerel in the shallows, didn't look good at first, now I think we are on track again.

saw some pics of a couple nuts on another site fishing 2 inches of ice. in the athol ma area. Come on ice age, I cant wait

A few days in the low-mid 20s and we'll have plenty of ice.

Fished open water today on a small pond thats usually frozen by now. Only ice I saw was in my guides. Am thinking end of january for safe ice.
