I've been told 1fish30"is the new limit and size for the near future.Stripers that is.Does anyone have any more info on this.

Yeah, from what I've read, no changes for 2012 for Striped Bass.

I haven't hear of any changes in size or bag limit.

Thanks guys,Iwas also told the licence fee is going to be $25.Hope this isn't true.We are approaching a size limit,maby sooner is better before we relive the past again.

Should up that im sick of seeing guys keeping fish a hair over 28 inches.. let em grow into cows first!! isnt that why we all fish in the first place

I not sure we all should be keeping "cows". Bad for the breeding stock.

Personally, I think it makes better sense that if you want a fish for the table to keep one fish around 24" inches. Throw back the keepers. Sure, it's against the law, but it makes better sense. It tastes way better, and you just have one meal of it, so you're not all loaded up on PCBs and there's a 50% chance it was a male anyway.
One fish at 36" tastes like sh_t. You're killing a definite breeder. There's no chance that it is a male. Then you have to eat so many meals, and ingest so many pollutants, that you can feel the cancer cells multiplying as you eat it.
