It's official, we fished the outgoing at one of my favorite spots last night in the bay.

Totaled about 5-6 hits each, buddy got a nice fat 26", I got two around 20".

Hot lure was good old rebel for my friend.
I used those fat mega-bait charlies, worked well.

Going again later.

Felt good to feel that tug on the line.:D

i fished B%&C*'$ CR^^( :) ;) earlier tonight, my friend got two, i got nothing. i lost a few fish that came to the surface on the teaser. they were chasing and hitting it about a foot from shore. only twinks, a flyguy got a 24" about. im soooooo happy their here.:happy:
those charlies are unbelievable. i couldnt believe how well they swam and casted.

Thats where I was, you must have been there earlier.

Went again last night with my son we got 1 each on those charlies. Small fish though, only about 12".

They were happy to be released.:D

there was a boat right at the mouth with a kid in the back and some kayakers going bye at about the same time.it was probally you. i was on shore, i aint got no stinkin boat.:) i was there about from 6 to 9.

Congrads Van & Christian, glad you are finally gettin into them, it won't be long till it busts wide open. Found alot of bait ont he cape yesterday!!!!!

I caught a few schoolies near Deer Island yesterday. I might try again tonight. Used some plastic storm shads. I'm happy to know that this is only going to get better from here on out.

Went again last night with my son, we got a few hits each, but only brought in one twinkie each.

Can't wait for some fast action. Boat is going in the marina this week, I gonna blow that day off work and head out looking for bait maybe bass.

Looking forward to next Saturday should be a blast. We are planning on staying and spending the whole day and hitting some other spots after the group leaves.

well that is good news about the bass in the harbor. My boat is 100% ready to go in the water. all i need is a good day this week.

hey van thanks for the info on the herring, Were there any on saturday? i never got a chance to get over.

No herring on saturday, some were in the pool, but not running, I had to get to Jimmy's baseball game so I split with nada.

My boat is also 100% ready. I got that broken bolt out, replaced it, finished a bit of painting. READY !!!:)

I am gonna blow a day off this week, probably thursday, HOWEVER, I have jury duty scheduled for Wednesday. :af: :(

Great Van, I barely fished the Cape, but I have to say that if they are local, I doubt I'll head down again. I'm outta town next weekend so I'll launch for the first time over Memorial day weekend. Things should be kickin' by then.

Seems like everything just kinda popped this week... everything is green now, the fish are here... here's to a good season.

Van , never made it out Friday rain held me up, had son's First Holy this past weekend so no fishing yet. I'll be going this week for sure unless it rains again.

Water is still a bit cold, but we will all be happy real soon, with lots of fish. Good that your boat is ready, maybe we'll see each other out there this season, the boaters from SB are multiplying!!

It is usually the best place to start with the the warm water in that area. Almost all small fish, but thats OK..
Just feels to good to stretch the line after a long winter.
