Sgt_Nutz 01-10-2012, 03:51 PM Hope it passes soon! Frank, I think you can get it free from the Board of Health if there are any left. Last year they returned unused doses. Let me know, I have a connection. :uhuh: JohnR 01-10-2012, 04:06 PM Hell - last week I was up to 102.5 down to 96, Bronchitis, partial hernia from coughing. Raven 01-10-2012, 05:31 PM that being Said only your body can KILL it! BUMPING up your Immune system is the ANSWER 1. Garlic: kills the bad and promotes the good bacteria chop it up and make garlic bread with the butter... 2.Green tea: Known to boost your immune system 3. Spices: when your ready to eat use allot of them known to double the power of the immune system 4. Vitamin C: helps to eat the white stuff (inner skin)in an orange that contains bioflavinoids that make vitamin C more effective strawberries have more C than an Orange.... 5.Zinc: a very important mineral that shortens recovery time 6. extra sleep increases your immune system where short sleeping less than 6 hours -> decreases your immune system Power 7. Liquids have a coffee but then switch over to JUICE and flush your system use lemon aid to flush (cleanse the Liver) 8. Hot salsa with lime flavored chips Liqorish (sp) mints help greatly with the coughing control and "VELAMINTS" containing liqorish can be bought to squelch the tickles in the throat.... there's plenty of OTC cold remedies but generally they only MASK the symptoms so don't rely on them to do it all Feel Better soon  striperman36 01-10-2012, 07:07 PM Peyote buttons reduce inflammation Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device striperman36 01-10-2012, 07:08 PM Hell - last week I was up to 102.5 down to 96, Bronchitis, partial hernia from coughing. Shivering and sweating from the fever, exhausted, body aches, sore throat, headache. When ever you have the actual flu it usually makes you very aware of why it can actually kill people. Enjoyed a round of that last year late in the winter. After that experience I made sure to get a flu shot this year, and I'm probably going to get one every year from now on... Saltheart 01-12-2012, 01:07 PM Hell - last week I was up to 102.5 down to 96, Bronchitis, partial hernia from coughing. Had the same in late October. Got to where I had to hold my hand over my left side down there when I coughed as I felt like I was splitting something. Hopefully it was just strained and not actually torn. I haven't been to anything but heart doctors lately but will have the hernia thing checked next time I see the primary. The feeling of a week spot has gone away completely so i am hoping it was just a pull and not a tear. I also had the high fever , chills , etc. It took me two weeks to fully shake it and even after two weeks , despite feeling fine , I had this nagging little irritated throat cough for another two weeks. All this happened while I was still in A fib so I was totally miserable for that time period. (but as the old saying goes.......then I saw a guy with no arms and no legs and realized how lucky i was) Raven 01-13-2012, 04:51 AM honey is hydroscopic meaning "attracts moisture" and a table spoon now and then helps that dry raspy cough tickle in the throat crap... Singers use it to recover from strained vocal cords. TheSpecialist 01-14-2012, 12:12 AM I went in o the docs, and it wasn't the flu some type of ear virus, and cold combined, put me on antibiotics, now today I feel like I am going to throw up. It's almost like car sickness this sucks, I hope i don't have that stomach bug now.:yak5: Raven 01-14-2012, 05:56 AM do you have an appetite? that is the question.... anytime i don't have an appetite first thing in the morning that's when i know something is definitely wrong (i like a piece of toast with honey and cinnamon typically) nature's antibiotic is GARLIC vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
