Anyone ever go? Is it worthwhile? I need a load of Calamari for both eating and bait, cheaper to buy a frozen flat somewhere? Anyone else interested in going?

I'm sure there are some places much closer to home where you can hunt some squid. -WW MakoMike 05-12-2003, 02:26 PM WW- The Frances fleet is 15 minutes from my house, it'll take me an hour to get to Montauk :smash: I guess I should investigate some of the docks around the salt pond. Do the squid come into the pond, like they do the lake in Montauk? Squid Hound Bob 05-12-2003, 04:03 PM There are plenty of squid at Padnarran harbor in Dartmouth. You have to go at nite with a light. Buzz-erd 05-13-2003, 04:36 AM Plenty of squid in Newport.Goat Island causeway is a great place for squid but it usually gets invaded by Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia this time a year. Seriously any place a lot light is shining into the water is good in the Newport area.Knowing dock and boat owners is a big help. You might give Fort Adams a try. MakoMike 05-13-2003, 06:40 AM H'mm, I have portable genset. Maybe at the state pier at the south end of the salt pond? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
