I had this same CMS rod, assuming it's their stock.

Great all around and decent price.

6? No way...1 might be a little light but I'd think 4 ounces for a plug or jig would be tops.

5oz is pushing it....but if that is what it is rated, it is what it is.

I have no doubt it's a nice rod as CMS builds excellent rods that are hard to beat for the dough.

I just assumed the rating....it's an AllStar. That's what I bought from CMS.
I just don't have documentation.

CMS usually puts their own ratings on the rods they build. I'd trust them before the catalog.

It's been my experience that Allstar was always pretty accurate with their ratings.

Dude, I owned and fished this same rod for several years. It was my go to stick.

Silly argument, I still think it's a great deal on a great all around rod.
