I think they cal it a pocket scale. Works fine with the exception that you need to take the batteries out or they go dead. Not a big deal. chefchris401 01-17-2012, 04:33 PM I got mine at a local convience store that sells "smoking accessories". Small scale weighs up to 1lb does oz and grams......of course. Was like 20 bucks I use it for weighing redfins, plug weights etc. Battery life is crazy long, had it for 3 years now never replaced em. Works fine with the exception that you need to take the batteries out or they go dead. Not a big deal. I went back on ebay and pulled the trigger on a SAGA for $25.00 including shipping. Big enough to place the whole plug on top of it. I was sittng here watching auctions and trying to manually bid, but the esnipers were getting everything so I hit a buy it now ad. I have to tell you I saw a number of them in the evidence room over the years and that is the first thing I thought of. They get thrown out. They sit in there for years. Have to wait for all the appeals. By the time a sentence has been served the scale has been pushed around so much it probably doesn't work anymore. Charleston 01-18-2012, 09:39 PM Walmart, postal scale for around $20 GattaFish 01-19-2012, 09:05 AM Walmart, postal scale for around $20 I have the harbor freight one. It works good for small stuff and when you add in shipping its roughly $20.... I think the one at walmart is slightly larger and would be better for larger stuff because of the size of the actual surface to put items like long needlefish and big pikies... PNG 01-19-2012, 06:40 PM Frank I realize you already ordered one this is for the lurkers et all. I would recommend a scale that goes down to at least .00 ounce. Using one that is just tenths gets you in the ballpark but could be almost an ounce out and you wouldn't know it and wonder why that plug is not like the others. I own 2 scales because of this. the 1st one I got is the pelouze sp5, bigger weights up to 5 lbs but only goes to .0 this prompted me to get another that goes to .00 and its frm Hbr Freight Cent-Tech 93543 on sale for $9. If you have to order they often have free shipping coupons and it seems accurate. Manipulating a piece of wood to swim/glide or do whatever you want it to has little room for inaccuracy if you consider what the wood weights and how much weight you are adding to it. mag minnow 01-19-2012, 07:22 PM I bought a good one that sees joint kitchen and shop use ...
