I love wearing hooded sweatshirts. I wear them over a tee shirt around the house this time of year. It allows me to keep the house temp down which I like because I like breathing the cooler air and its less dry but I like being toasty warm inside and the hooded sweatshirt really does the job. I also often just run to the store without a jacket as the sweatshirt keeps me warm enough.

I always wear a hooded sweatshirt when fishing except for the very warm times of year. There I usually wear a wind breaker over it (waterproof like goretex or some marine foul weather jacket). Nice and soft and warm! I get nice Champion brand ones for about 8 bucks at Ocean state. Not seconds , just someones overstock I guess.

Anyway , thanks to the guy who invented them. They really are a comfortable piece of cloths.

I hear ya. My #1 defense against the mosquitoes when fishing the canal. I try to avoid putting deet on my skin as much as possible so if it's under 65 degrees or so, I wear a hooded sweatshirt to keep the damn things off my head, neck and arms - most other stuff they bite right through.

They're also good if you plan on going on a crime spree. Seriously, check out the news and just about every person arrested for a serious crime is shown wearing handcuffs and a hoodie. I think it might be part of the "felon starter kit" sold at Wal Mart.
