The Bad news: after the debacle with my knee and tire last week, things got worse. I developed tennis elbow from lifting. (no big deal, a shot in the arm and rest 10 days) Driving back to work though my car won't get out of 1st gear. Well back to the shop and the diagnosis is a new tranny for the Jipper (2500-3000$$!.)
The Good news: The diagnosis for the knee, is surgery on my left miniscis only. The ACL is only slightly damaged with a slight bone bruise on the side. I'll be in and out on the hospital on the 15th, and back to normal in 6 weeks ready for the Spring run. It's been a crazy few weeks, but I'm still alive. I just hope that's the last curve ball for a few.

Good luck with the knee.
As for the transmission, if you have not already, get an opinion from someone other than a dealer. Dealers don't repair transmissions because of liability issues, they just replace them.

They say bad thing's come in three's,so I'd say you covered all of the base's in a pretty short time, hang on good thing's are coming your way!

Best of luck for the rest of the year!

As for getting it done at the Stealership,I would second Numbies recommendation. My good friend works @ Rodman Ford and they make you pay through the nose.......Now with that said, you had a problem with your knee, and elbow.......Don't put your nose threw anything.

No way, Fabbit lives on!!!!! I'm actually moving around pretty good. You wouldn't even know I was hurt unless you kicked me in the knee, or saw me try and run a zig-zag line. It would go on w/o me anyway. The ABBITs are a creation of the Rick-man. I don't go into surgery until the 15th so I guess it doesn't matter.

That's good to hear, Mikey. I'm going to take a swing out during the day on Saturday the 4th with a present for Shawno, if you want me to stop by, on the way.

Good to hear about the tourney, too!

Bad to hear about the car...

What he said! Most dealers will get new/reman or a few might actually take them out, send them to a local tranny shop to be overhauled, and just charge you more to put it back in.

Very few overhaul a transmission properly.

Glad the knee will be well soon Mike, I know walking in the sand/rocks with a bad knee really blows I need to wear a brace

Good luck with the transmission, my Daughter is going thru the same thing, $2800 but the car is only worth $4700 I think we are going to trade it in and move on
