Been thinking and getting an itch to go out in this weather and throw a Few plugs. I have never fished in the winter before as I am a newbie. has anyone been fishing this winter? And how is it going.g....

It's not like it used to be in the usual haunts. But if you can find them they're usually in schools. Most rivers near the ocean have some kind of holdover population.

I went yesterday.Goose egg but like Mikey said it ain't like it used to be.

I do a lot of Sea run brown fishing up here in Maine and find small schoolies from time to time with them.Line ices up at times and I've found using braid is difficult when real cold as the water in it freezes it together at imes between cast. Not good with light stuff LOL.We used to yrs back find fish at all the warm water outflows of the power plants and similar places.Even hold over blues in Boston.

Yup.Used to get them at the Brayton Pt. plant when you could still fish there.Freaked me out the first time I got one.
