Just happened to see it. At least 36 inches in length, just swimming around in 4 ft. of water. Stayed around for a few minutes and then it was gone.

Well atleast you may have been able to reach it with a cast Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device cow tamer 02-20-2012, 08:17 AM Well at least you may have been able to reach it with a cast Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Would have needed to be stealthy. One of your bucktail flies would have done the trick. cow tamer 03-23-2012, 03:58 PM A couple more stripers and a giant gray heron today in the back bay estuary. FishermanTim 03-26-2012, 12:05 PM If it were a freshwater estuary (leading to a saltwater bay), could it have been a carp? I have seen carp "tail-finning" in the spring when they're rooting around the backwater marshes. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for a early spring fishing season, considering how crappy a winter we had (ice season was way too short). I guess I should break out my spring striper gear and hit a few of my early spring haunts. In any case, I've been hitting a few of the local ponds the past couple of weekends and nailing the bass and pickerel. Of course it didn't hurt to use rubber frogs just when the frogs and toads were spawning. Slammer223 03-26-2012, 04:20 PM I bet it's a bass. cow tamer 03-26-2012, 05:06 PM Coupla bass for sure. These were swimming around with some determination. moosh 03-29-2012, 05:21 PM Nice popper vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
