I'm going to hopefully work on a tackle compartment in my lean posting, I'd like to level it correctly but with the boat being in a slight angle, I'd need to measure everything from the deck up.

Does anyone know of a level than you can adjust to make level on angled conditions? I've read the old boat builders using something like this but can't seem to google up something.

Suggestions?

Make one, should take about 5 minutes.

Just grab a laser lever and mount it to a temp board, and adjust once level. should be that simple

Don't know Bruce just know the boat is beam and length on an angle and need to accommodate that when building

String level side to side, and fore and aft. Measure differentials off deck and pull new strings.

Any chance of jacking the trailer closer to level?

How'd we miss connecting yesterday? Or had you forgotten to bring the fence?:rotf2:

Can't you just level the boat?
Or measure up evenly off the deck

cheaper to level the trailer and boat fore and aft.

If the boat is at an angle and the leaning post is attached to the boat at the same angle , then the tackle compartment needs to be at that angle..

In other words use a tape measure to measure from the top of the compartment to the top of the leaning post and use the same reveal on both ends.

This makes a lot of sense.
