Gotta talk about them even when they are playing.... inconsistently. The injury bug is partly to blame for the recent won/loss record with key players like Horton and Peverly out. The loss of Rask could put too much on Thomas's shoulders and he has been simply mediocre most nights. Increase his workload and he may end up injured as well.

The new aquisitions were OK but Zanon has not looked good in his few games, rolston is hard-working and looks like he still has something to offer. Good to see Claude shuffling the lines and waking up Kreji (again). Marchand needs to get back to playing his game and drawing penalties, scoring goals.

The one make or break for this team if they are even to be considered as a possible repeat winner of The Cup- The Power Play! No way they can expect to win a series nevermind win it all with no power play production. Last year they pulled that off but it aint gonna happen again.

B's aren't alone.....The amount of injuries across the league this season is insane........ Look at Pittsburg, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit etc…

Hopefully, they can right this ship...Lucic sure pounded this guy the other night. B's 8-0, what a beating.

The game the other night against Toronto could be what turns them on again for the rest of the season. Reminded me of the game last year against Dallas that changed their season and lead to the run for the cup.

I am not as convinced. Toronto put up a pathetic effort right outta the gate. 2 shots in the first period? 13 total shots? Timmy got his rest that game! I was more impressed with SO win against Philly but these three games upcoming in California against hungry teams will be a better gage as to whether they have a solid shot at repeating.

Too much of the fighting in today's game seems staged.

as Wayne Gretzky said "if hockey fights were fake, I would have been in a lot more of them"

Not staged at all and keep the game balanced. The fighters typically fight the fighters and keep a game in check. They serve a purpose for sure. This video isn't the norm

It was staged. All fighters know when it's time to thrown down and if you look at the video they are all getting ready to hook up with the their dance partner before the puck drops. Staged meaning they know when it's time to go, not faking it though. Not even close.

Not saying it's fake. What I mean is, more often than not, it seems like it doesn't occur as a result of the course of the game. Something like that clip could only happen if it was arranged during the pre-game skate-around. Whatever grudge might have existed certainly wasn't between two entire lines. Two guys from a past game, sure. The whole freaking line?

I'm also not a huge fan of the way they circle around striking a pose like an old-time bare knuckles boxer, poking and jabbing. Drop them and go at it, for petessake. John Ferguson would be laughing his ass off at these Ali-wannabes.

agree with the arranged part..........

This style of fighting has been around for a long time though.

The one at 4:45 is how it should be: throw the gloves down, commence to punching. Most of the fights on that clip are the same. Sure, guys will stand and feel each other out for a second or two, but usually, they go right at it. No circling each other for half a minute probing for the opening.

I saw Probert get his ass kicked once on that clip.
