..small boaters. I assume tackle and experience can land almost any fish not so much the size of the boat.
Angler's 738-pound Pacific bluefin tuna may be biggest ever caught (http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/32964/anglers+738-pound+pacific+bluefin+tuna+may+be+biggest+ever+cau ght/)

I'm not sure it's possible to comprehend the sensation bringing a fish that big in from an 18 foot boat.

I read a similar story of a guy who took his small center console out of Brant rock to Stellawagon with all the proper gear and landed a huge bluefin tuna. His big boat was down for repair so instead of missing a fishing day, he took the small boat. It was years ago , maybe someone else remembers the guys name or what year or how many pounds.

I know a guy who took his 17' Lund across CCbay and caught a nice tuna amongst a fleet of sportfishermen. Fight lasted 3.5 miles.
