Dandelions in bloom the tautog are biting. There is also something about lilacs but I have forgotten that one. Blows my mind,and even though I don't write this stuff down,and if memory serves....the earliest I ever saw them bloom was around the 2nd week of May out at the island.I've never seen them on the mainland.
