View Full Version : 2012 RED SOX
afterhours 04-22-2012, 07:43 AM i've never seen such an unlikable team wear the laundry. a bunch of complacent, whining, spoiled brats. their unhappiness came thru at the end of last season and is shining thru again. cost tito his job and now they won't play for his replacement- who do THEY WANT becketts mom? eff them (with a few exceptions). we're eff'd as sox fans. our ownership won't do or say peep without checking which way the wind is blowing. luccino's a head case on a power trip, cherrington???...he just traded for an outfielder batting .047. blow it all up and start from scratch.
spence 04-22-2012, 07:54 AM Think positive. At least the game tonight is likely to get rained out.

spinncognito 04-22-2012, 08:36 AM Amazing that the fans were even booing the manager at yesterdays game. (deservedly!) The way I see it I will probably get to see a game or two this season because the secondary ticket market will be heavily discounting them soon enough. I will still enjoy Fenway and the atmosphere there.
Sea Dangles 04-22-2012, 09:19 AM Went in two directions yesterday. I took in the B's matinee and watched last years hero let in a couple more soft ones. My oldest boy took my sox tix and three of his buds to Fenway. At least he left after 6 innings....got relief?
afterhours 04-22-2012, 10:29 AM and why in Gods name are they letting lackey hang out and travel with the team?????? not a good influence for sure duh! take a note from the patriots.
ProfessorM 04-22-2012, 11:30 AM going to be a long summer.

spence 04-23-2012, 09:13 AM Fortunately the Twins suck also so we shouldn't get beaten that badly.

The Dad Fisherman 04-23-2012, 10:10 AM Painful :wall:
fishbones 04-23-2012, 10:28 AM I'm no baseball expert, but I get the feeling that I hate them and they stink.
Raven 04-23-2012, 12:50 PM to much about money and contracts
and not enough about baseball
fishsmith 04-23-2012, 01:56 PM No worries, the Sox are just getting the bugs out. Baseball is cyclical, we're down now and only have one way to go and that's up. The outfielder the sox traded for, Marlon Byrd is a .287 hitter over the past four season so he's not as bad as his current average.
No one is taking my rose colored glasses off :rotf2:
spence 04-24-2012, 05:38 AM Looks like they've turned things around, another win towards the pennant.

The Dad Fisherman 04-24-2012, 05:58 AM now we just need 90 more wins for a playoff berth
MarshCappa 04-24-2012, 07:36 AM Aren't they off to a better start than last year at this time?:biglaugh:
MarshCappa 04-24-2012, 10:21 AM Actually through 15 games last year they were 5-10 and finished the month at 11-15. Sad state of affairs right now though.
The Dad Fisherman 04-25-2012, 04:55 AM Ortiz has been a bright spot this season so far....absolutely all over the ball right now.
Aviles has been playing well too.....
Pitching has been horrendous
Stewie 05-07-2012, 04:28 PM Went to the Sunday afternoon game. Left after 14 innings of tedium.
I wish I could follow another team on the radio. I'm going to wear the Phillies hat I had to buy on a bet last fall.
They're bad too, but at least they didn't kick their manager in the nose on his way out last year.
striperman36 05-07-2012, 08:19 PM I am boycotting the season, I will not watch or listen to a redsox game this year
The Dad Fisherman 05-08-2012, 04:54 AM I'll still watch them....I'll just be suffering a lot more this season than in years past.
Swept by the Orioles.....that sucked :wall:
