View Full Version : Teardrop Trailers coming back
blondterror 05-15-2012, 07:41 PM I have seen a few on the roads this spring and hear that they are popular in Cali.
here is a PDF link for a do it yourself article from the 40s. After WWII a lot of surplus materials were used to build these cool lighweight trailers.

Some random company built a trailer for a VW Beetle.. The hitch was mounted on the center of the roof. I cant really describe it its so strange

hold sh1t that is awesome. i'm a pretty big vw fan and I've never seen that. good find, nebe.
And I think most places have that self-contained toilet rule.
All these rules lead to the most expensive option being the only option. It's the deprivation of freedom by economic means.
WoodyCT 05-16-2012, 11:01 AM But where's the commode ?
Pete F. 05-16-2012, 12:26 PM My favorite surfcasting buggy is still a Dodge Caravan. Incognito, plenty of room to sprawl. If you can't stand up in it, it is not any better.
They also had a camper made out of a bug, half beetle half camper
Sgt Striper 05-16-2012, 02:00 PM Check these out: XTR | Moby1 Expediton Trailers LLC (http://moby1trailers.com/xtr-expedition-teardrop/)
