For Sunday, what do you think the seas will be like on stellwagen with this forecast?

Today...Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight...Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday Night...Partly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

If it really is a 5 kt east wind, it will be fine. 10+ east wind will be cold and bumpy.
An easy ride back in though.

I'm planning on groundfishing, possibly tuna, if I can get a crew together.

Whatever those NOAA wave heights are add 2 ft.

I'll be out Saturday drowning live bait somewhere on stellwagen. All of my notes from previous years say in big bold letters, "GO EAST". Of course all of the fish caught this year have been west.

So I'm in a conundrum.

Steady NE generally makes it pretty snotty... Might be decent in the morning tho, then pick up in the afternoon. Good luck

22 robolo with a 250hp. it's a real nice hull, but it's been my experience that when water gets pushed out, the wind pushes it right back in. I'm thinking bassin by the bath house if it's too snotty, I got a hunch they'll enjoy dining on some of my buddy's jigs below. regardless, if I'm surrounded by water, I'm happy.

I did 2 trips across the bay to p- town today. I would not have wanted to be on the bank.

We have some sbt close to the beach here (nothing huge don't get too excited). There has been a bunch of surface action at times. Bass guys have been picking them up trolling for bass on bucktails! I plan to head out early and see if I can find one that is not too loaded with mercury so I can grill it up and not kill off my family. Also I just replaced my hydraulic motor for the autopilot which seized over the winter (:err: I was planing on using that $ for a new rod and reel)...I would like to make sure I have all the air out of the lines and it is working beyond my static testing at the dock.

I'm 6 miles out now and it's pretty bumpy. Not going to the bank thats for sure!

DITTO, this morning as many boats are calling it quits as launching from Boston/Weymouth. I put it on the trailer @10AM. Did have diner in the box.....

We ran back yesterday in 2 to 3s. NE wind 20 t0 25 kts and a dropping tides makes for a short steep chop.

Was pretty snotty today. Going back out tomorrow guess I'll have to strap down the keurig better

damn wind, damn damn, damn!! Still heading out, it won't take long to see how bad it is leaving green harbor tomorrow morning at sunrise, if it's to snotty, we'll fish the local bays.

Yeah no kidding...what happened to the 5-10mph???? I must have read the wrong forecast. Try being out there in a 13' dory...:smash:....finding the pogies with no electronics, while King Neptune is smashing your boat around like a rag-doll. Clammer would have been proud of me while reading my obituary. :wall:

Was expecting worse than yesterday but was a stellar morning on the water after last night's chop came to an end...little wind, but the chop wasn't there afterwards, little over-cast and a tonage of bait to go around too. <I'm not on any "bank" though, like you big guys...so it was probably worse out yonder>

If you're reading this, and it was YOU, (at least on Father's day) have some respect for the little boats with no electronics who depend SOLELY on their vision to find the bait. A Grady (who zipped over because he saw me and another guy snagging) drove right into the school with his cast net...tossed it, did the corral (a little slow, by the way)...and continued to do it constantly putting the school down <again, and again, and again>. Definitely got his share, but kept doing it. I know I said "tonage of bait to go around", but in the wee morning hours....was still a little choppy and tough to find em'. I KNOW IT'S THE NATURE OF THE BEAST, BUT IT'S FATHER'S DAY FOR GOODNESS SAKE. ..... :buds::buds: Hope you caught em up!!!

Last night, I didn't think today was going to happen, but it was only a bit bumpy going across today and we had a great Father's day and got our share of fish. Bloo, I think that guy in the grady may of taught lessons to many of the boaters at p-town today, I don't know what goes thru people minds when the go from point A to B via weaving thru boats with people casting, it's n#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g futs. We had our fill of the parking lot of boats in front of the bath house, and found a nice quiet bit of water jigging the drop off. Today was my first time on a Robalo and I'm very impressed, nice soft ride.

Nice pick of dinner-size Bass Fishsmith. Glad to see they were cooperative...looking at the first picture, it must have been interesting out there...bit of an obstacle course.

Got my head beaten in Saturday at the bank.

Saturday morning saw one of the most epic bass feeds I've seen in a long time off the bath house early.

There were only about 3 boats there and it was acres of bass. Unfortunately our plan was to fish stellwagen so I had to leave.
