Yes they make a difference. Turns bumps into solid hits. I've outfished live eels using bio edge eel potion on sluggos more than a few times. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device pbadad 07-01-2012, 06:32 PM Used Smelly Jelly on hard baits i.e. bombers, mag darters, sluggos etc .Caught early on in spring when bite was mediocre. Fill plug bag with plugs of the trip, smear with the scent. "Fish on". Heard great reports on Mikes Bunker Potion. piemma 07-02-2012, 10:13 AM Gulp Herring spray for the Canal in spring. PaulS 07-02-2012, 10:22 AM I used the herring smelly jelly this spring and frequently would pull out a fish when no one else was catching. I've also used Mike's. I figure it can't hurt. shadow 07-02-2012, 10:47 AM Iv got a bottle of bunker oil that i mix with vaseline put that in a small container of some sort and rub it on my plugs, after talking to gary about scents last year id figure id give it a try.I put the scent on my hooks i figure the vaseline may even help the hooks go in easier.LOL JFigliuolo 07-02-2012, 10:48 AM Iv got a bottle of bunker oil that i mix with vaseline put that in a small container of some sort and rub it on my plugs, after talking to gary about scents last year id figure id give it a try.I put the scent on my hooks i figure the vaseline may even help the hooks go in easier.LOL WHEW! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device chefchris401 07-03-2012, 12:59 PM I have some soft plastics I use on jig heads soaking in the bio edge eel potion for over a year. I use one of the liquid Plano boxes. Cheaper than buying the gulp stuff in the same container. I just keep adding fresh lures to the mix, you will get color run so keep like colored soft plastics together is key. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Mr. Sandman 07-03-2012, 01:32 PM I use that stuff as aftershave...and while initially they are repulsed by the odor, but the ladies eventually dig it. It has the same effect as the expensive hormone attractants used by the expensive cologne companies but at a much lower cost. Try some. :) TS_Morgan 07-04-2012, 07:02 PM Gulp is real good ken1 07-05-2012, 12:08 PM I have had luck with both the bioedge scents and smelly jelly. Smelly Jelly is sold in two forms, a liquid and a paste. I prefer the paste as it seems to last longer on the lure, although the liquid can be nice if you want to marinate some soft plastics. sjbkicker39 07-05-2012, 06:38 PM BioEdge does some awesome stuff!!!!! It can make the difference!! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bart 07-05-2012, 11:30 PM Gulp Herring spray for the Canal in spring. I agree. I do just as well as the guys fishing bunker oil with the Gulp. And I definitely notice a difference when I don't use it... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
