FOXBORO — A two-alarm fire broke out at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World at Patriot Place off Route 1 Saturday night, causing minor damage.

Six area fire departments responded to the fire about 8:45 p.m., just before the superstore’s 9 p.m. closing. Customers and employees were promptly evacuated.

The fire was confined to a wall and is believed to have been electrical in nature, possibly involving a light fixture. Fire officials said it caused more smoke than fire, mostly on the second floor.

More concerned of a fire near Gillette

Sounds like nobody was hurt - that is all that's important.

I can see it now......

Next week's ad for building 19: "major" sports business merchandise on sale, limited selection, "name brands".

If you've been to BPS, you know that they don't keep any "top shelf" gear near the walls, so if they were to have a fire sale, you'd be looking at discount tee shirts and kiddie fishing combos at best.
