Been here over 3 weeks and so far its been great. 10 minute commute to my house from work. I leave at 5:30 and no kidding Im in my bathing suit, starting the grill and in the pool by 5:50. Sure beats my hour and 30 minute one way commute. The people have been tremendous. You go to Target and people spend 10 mins helping you out. its really mindblowing how nice people are here. you notice it immediatly. The neighbors seem cool. Guy next door has a sweet Nitro bass boat and offered to take me out. I've been fishing in some of the local ponds for bass. Havent ventured out much. There are tv channels dedicated 24hrs to fishing, texas music shows on tv. People are extremely proud of their state. The women down here are gorgeous (my wife agrees) - they take care of themselves and you have some with a mix of mexican and white that are mindblowing.
Its been 95-100 most days. Not humid and for some reason we have no mosquitios or bugs harrassing you. I sit outside every morning and have my coffee. Its peaceful, lots of hummingbirds. I will share more, been busy at work. So far so good. The kids have been adjusting well. the lizards and geckos on the house have been keeping them happy.

beware the diablo.... :) lack of skeeters is the dry heat...
the kids can fish for lizards with a long pole and a teensy
barbless trout fly ..... for hours of fun....
got fire ants? they are ten times worse "sting wise" then
african bees or hornets so keep an eye peeled for them.
poor gas down their tunnels (sparingly) and stand way back with the hose.

Funny you posted that when you did, Jim. I was just talking about you and your family earlier tonight. I ran into Tate, Cooper and their mom at that downtown Mansfield thing and she mentioned how much Tate misses your son. Glad to hear things are going well down there! And if I didn't thank you already, thanks for transferring your subscription to The Fisherman. I'm enjoying reading it each week.
