Anticipating release this Fall. Been working on my “baby” for quite a few years and just received the final layout from the book design company. One more proof read and it will be ready for the printer.

Here is the cover: Cover sketch was done for me by my friend the late Stephen Shiraka (“Flaptail” on this site). Received lots of assistance from other members here and for that I’m grateful.

DZ I can't wait to buy my copy! Looks very interesting! The cover is just beautiful and a fitting tribute to one of the most passionate and gifted fishermen I know and just a genuine and giving person. I will be waiting for its release! Best of luck to you!:uhuh:

When you spoke at our club(CSA) a few years ago you mentioned you writing this book. Highly anticipating for the end result. It would be an honor to have the book in our club's library. Congratulations. Sharing your passion with all is very honorable.

DZ can't wait to read it. It will be nice to have your needle advice in print. I have tried my best over the years to liberate your needle secrets. Now I can study your technique in depth. Cant wait to get a hold of your book. Hope it's out soon

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. There are no less than 50 names on the "Acknowlegements" page. Some are members from here like Mr. Sandman who allowed me to use some of his high resolution aerial photographs that are included in the title chapter. The book is separated into 4 sections: The Island, The Stories, The Tactics, The Mystique. Something for everyone and much of it can be applied anywhere striped bass can be caught. Please pass the book info to any contacts that you may think would be interested (book stores, tackle shops, etc).
