Not quite as bizarre as the last one. But we got this little guy while netting pogies. He/she took of happy unharmed after a couple of pics. Still strange to see one in this area. Another first..

Some parts of the world still make soup out of them and I understand it is pretty good.

What is next Van.......

The MASS DEM is asking for reports on catching sea turtles. Maybe you could log onto there website and share some data.

what are the water temps in the habor? I was pretty shocked to see 73 degree water down in cape cod bay, but 64 off plymouth. To keep with the strange catches, we got a big sea bass on a tube and worm west of the fingers, lots of strange this year.

Got a massive torpedo ray cod fishing just outside of Boston this weekend.
It was as big around as a trash can lid, with a fish like tail similar to a giant cod.
Didn't want to mess around with it as I wasn't sure if this was an 8 volt model, or the 230volt version.

I am assuming they discharge DC rather than AC......I think I saw a carcass years ago on the beach but never heard of anyone catching one.

I have heard of them off Nomans while people were bottom fishing. Atlantic Torpedo Ray. I think they are like 220 volts. I would not mess with the business end of that creature, I think it could put you on your ass pretty quick.

Someone landed a very large one in the canal a few years ago. It made fox news.
