Thanks for the info. If u don't mind my asking...Was that bycatch from flukin or were u targeting them?? And also, does the size matter??of the scup mean. Any idea on the range in price on size over the seasn. Thanks for letting me pick your brain. Trying to extend my r n r season a little

I was targeting them basically just to get out on the water since striper season is over. And some buyers do pay different prices for sizes. My buyer pays flat rate all a jumbo.

.65 cents for jumbos!:confused: I used to get over $2 for jumbos! Last year I was getting around $1.50 in RI.

RI doesn't have a Portuguese commercial Scup fishing fleet off of nomans island hand lining 1000lbs a day each boat.

Anywhere between 3$ and 4$. I've never seen it go below 3$

What's the landing limit in MA, I seriously doubt that, at this time of year, its 1,000 pounds a day? IIRC last year in RI it was 200 pounds a day.
