Just shy of 41 #'s and taped out at 48 inches. Tried reviving her for a while but it wasn't in the cards. Hit a 30-pounder about 15 minutes later that I was able to revive and then JLH landed a 34 after that. Here is a shot of my 40 (right) and his 34 (left). :fishin: PRBuzz 09-04-2012, 12:35 PM Nice fishes, both of them! capedeer/fish 09-04-2012, 12:57 PM awesome Clammer 09-04-2012, 01:00 PM Dbl sweet :fishin: piemma 09-04-2012, 01:04 PM Thanks guys. I think they build a lot of lactic acid and the warm water prevents dissipation. I had one about 28# the other night and it took a good 10 minutes moving here back and forth before she could swim on her own. I hate to think of one going belly up after reviving but I'm sure it happens. tlapinski 09-04-2012, 01:07 PM Really difficult reviving fish with the water as warm as it is. My leader and first few feet of braid were all chaffed up. I spent a while on her but every time I let go, she rolled over and gave up. As I intened on letting her go from the start, I never took her out of the water for weight or measuremnet until I knew it was a lost cause. piemma 09-04-2012, 01:10 PM Toby, at least she will not be wasted. If you let her go and she died the seagulls and crabs are the winners. saltyric 09-04-2012, 01:37 PM great picture....congrats doc 09-04-2012, 01:48 PM nice fish! the point 09-04-2012, 02:14 PM Congrats!! Swam off after a little while of the back and forth resesitation. Motored back for another drift and 2 min later there she was belly up. It sucks but it happens, good thing i was in the boat so I could grab her for the cooler. I bet especially at night you dont even know it but shes washing up on the rocks 40 yrds down from you. GattaFish 09-04-2012, 02:58 PM Congrats T~. Reviving big fish has been tough this year.
