He matched me cast for cast. rickhern 09-16-2012, 06:07 PM Ohh, misread that, yes they did, he thought that was very cool. PRBuzz 09-16-2012, 06:13 PM Nice meeting you today Anthony and thanks for the crabs they were great! And wish you continued luck until the month end of the tournament, you are now the target for albie's by a young guy from shore.... WESTPORTMAFIA 09-16-2012, 06:15 PM Great job guys! Looks like memories were made. Swimmer 09-16-2012, 07:02 PM That is an awesome post. Good for you Rick. Hope you leave some for me at the end of the month. iamskippy 09-16-2012, 07:14 PM Awesome Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device nightfighter 09-16-2012, 07:21 PM Probably best posts with pics of the year. niko 09-16-2012, 07:25 PM good stuff rick and ant rickhern 09-16-2012, 08:05 PM We only spent 2 days but it felt like a week. Played a lot of wiffleball at the common in Oak Bluffs, threw the baseball around, took a few walks and searched out some new spots, had a BLAST crabbing(thanks Pat for the nets), made some new friends(Seth, Greg, Trip, you guys on here?) and managed to find a little time to catch a few Albies. Never took the bass gear off the roof and didn't mind at all. The kids tournament on the dock was this am. Anthony chose to chase Albies instead(surprised me) but was rewarded after only 15 mins. Can't wait till next year, and next......... Lost my Dad last fall, hadn't seen him in 14 years, but he was largely responsible for my love of fishing. We had spoken recently and were trying to rebuild things as much as possible. I was on my way to the airport to see him when he passed. Anyway, on our way to Squibby after crabbing in Quonsoo Creek(Anthony say's "Dad, we make a great team" while herding crabs) Mike and the Mechanics' Living Years comes on the radio. Powerful stuff. bloocrab 09-16-2012, 08:09 PM Did I mention that I was up for adoption??? DAD...... Great Stuff Rick!!! You definitely needed this time with him. rickhern 09-16-2012, 08:13 PM Hey Gilly, I know how lucky your little caster is. bloocrab 09-16-2012, 09:07 PM Sorry.....:topic: Please apologize to Anthony for borrowing some of his thread's thunder, but he'll have some competition in a few years... 3 years old handling a 10.5' rod with intense pencil-popping action....I was laughing my Az$# off.... Bluefish continue to amaze me....all I had to do was cast, the little man did the rest...tough job being a proud dad...;) rickhern 09-16-2012, 10:54 PM That's fantastic! :fishin: Hi Gilly - Anthony Tagger 09-17-2012, 03:26 AM congrats Anthony,,, nice Rick .. great way to grow up .. lurch 09-17-2012, 06:38 AM Greaat Moments! Awesome photos! fishbones 09-17-2012, 11:14 AM Very cool, Rick! Congrats to Anthony (and dad of course). Nothing better than being able to share something you love with your kid and having him love it as much as you. bassballer 09-17-2012, 12:26 PM Great pics. rickhern 09-17-2012, 02:15 PM Very cool, Rick! Congrats to Anthony (and dad of course). Nothing better than being able to share something you love with your kid and having him love it as much as you. It's funny John, I don't think he loves it yet, maybe never will, but he likes it enough. Not usually his first choice of things to do but we make an adventure out of it and he likes that. Try to limit the time fishing, even if we are catching. Mix in liberal amounts of baseball/wiffleball/minigolf/watching movies and now CRABBING, makes for a heck of a weekend. rickhern 09-17-2012, 02:18 PM He is a competitive little bugger, no idea where he got that:angel: JohnR 09-18-2012, 06:50 AM Awesome, guys~! stripermaineiac 09-21-2012, 09:09 PM I soooo miss fishin the derby with my son.Sweet. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
