Went out with FishingFreak today on the Fishbucket to the secret pollack spot (somewhere 40 miles outside Boston Harbor in 350+ft of water). First pollack about 20lb'er? Estimate base on size of head and gill plate as that is all that we got to the boat. The first 4 pollack were all attacked by blue dawgs before getting them to the boat. It was a great day jigging for blue dawg bait and maybe landing a pollack. I think overall the boat got 13-14 nice pollack and the sharks got 20+. We had some real nice fights of big blue dawgs on fairly light tackle. We were happy to get the 20oz jig back, once or twice.:)

Blew up my Saltist 6500H.:smash:

Good way to break a lot of gear.
Triple up on pollak= double up on sharks. They were the most aggressive sharks I've ever seen.
Too bad it was soooo windy, that made for tough jigging.

I should have gone jigging today, conditions would have been awesome !
The certainly sucked for tuna fishing.
No wind, little current!
Got of the anchor and never drifted away from it.
Plenty of wind and conditions coming for the rest of the week

About 10 hrs. of boredom and 15 mins. of action on the NW for us....guess we should have run 20 more miles! Lots of bait, lots of draggers and lots of blue dogs on the Bank. Prob. the last trip for us....running to the Bank in 45* in a center console...not much fun. Ended the perfect day by towing in a boat with 6 chinese men & women aboard...new boat owner...no radio, no PFD's, no rope, no anything. They would have been in for a long cold night if we hadn't happened by.

PS Ronnie...did you move the boat...didn't see it and we got back after dark? PPS Danny M on the Nice Kid got a nice fish on Sunday.
