So kind of funny this ad keeps popping up on the forum as this is the hotel/time share I just stayed at in NH this week.

Place was super nice, pool and waterslides were great, big hot tub, game room with free pool, gym and lounge area. semi friendly staff, depends who you talked to.

We had a bought a groupon for $165 for two nights, mid week deal, room slept 6 people, Main bedroom king size bed, jacuzzi tub, full bath, living room, full kitchen with all the pots and pans, 2nd bedroom had 2 twin beds, then another full bath with shower. Couch also was a fold out, two tvs, a deck with table and chairs. Sick views and a comfy room, the room had everything you needed, pots, pans, plates, silverware etc, its more of a time share than a standard hotel room.

if you go to their site they are charging $165 to $220 a night! The place was desserted when we where there and they are expecting it to stay like that unless the snow is really good this winter, we rebooked and they honored the groupon price for us.

Im sure if you called and asked if they would honor that price they would probably take it. Especially for mid week travel.

sad part about that area, weirs beach, is everything has been closed for years and run down, the main waterslide place has been closed for 15 to 18 years according to the locals, seems like there is a for sale sign on every other house or business, some shops that were closed up for good looked like they just locked the doors and never came back.

We hit the outlets, and shopped, hiked a few trails, did a lot of scenic driving, and just relaxed.

if you want to get away for a few days its a sweet place and the rate is right.

took a lot of pics, ill start another thread for those.

I've spent quite a bit of time in that area and it is sad to see the Weirs in such bad shape, though I have to admit the burnt out remains of the Smoke House were finally removed last month.

With leaf season ending and Gunstock not open for skiing yet it gets pretty deserted this time of year but like you said it can be very relaxing.

Next time you're up there go to Hart's Turkey Farm in Meredith. Some damn good eating there.

Sad to hear Weirs going down so hard

The ads from Google tend to follow you and your tastes. So if you have done searches on similar topics that will tend come back for you. This is all Google - nothing to do with my settings (other than having Google ads ;) )

This explains Andy's recurring Squirrel Porn ads :rotf2:
