A buddy from work gave me one today (6") because he felt bad that I'm missing the Fall run due to surgery. Looks like it would be used the same way a stick shad would. Anybody have any experience with these??

It's a slow sinking walk-the-dog lure that swims just below the surface, the lateral fins in the back keep it from rolling and gives it a nice glide. Pauses usu. draw the strikes, works great for Northern Pike in the fall when the weed growth is almost to the surface when you wouldn't want to use the original xrap. I haven't used one in the salt, but it holds up well to chop & wind on lakes.

I used one in the spring.

My buddy had just bought one and was throwing all day without a bump, I asked him if I could try it, he says sure just dont catch a fish on it,

first cast it gets inhaled by a mid 20lb bass half thru the retrieve. I look over and shrug. Gave it back to him right after, only fish of the day.

Was pretty funny. He still talks about how that would have been his pb and he's positive he would have caught fish on the next cast.

The action is sweet, sinks level, basically an underwater spook. I like the pearl white or shad colored ones. They cast really nice too.

Not that how well something sells is any indication, but we had them for a while and no one really seemed interested. Eventually most of them went on clearance.

The smaller ones work great for albies.

Never fished the bigger ones on bass.

I have one and havent taken a bass on it. Only given it moderate time in the water, though.

Last Nov. When we had the blues and bass on sea herring in SoCo I did well with one.

Black Friday and we were in T-shirts killing fish!
