My local grocery store has a big advertised special on Cain's Salad dressing. Now you can buy a jar of this stuff almost anywhere for $2.69 for the 16 OZ bottle. The big sale is "buy 1 get 2 free" for the 16 oz size. The trouble is they raise the price of the first bottle (the buy one) to $6.59. :) Un believeable. So for the unaware shopper who just grabs one thinking they will pay the usual $2.69 , they get porked at the register for $6.59!

BUYER BEWARE!!

Here's another one.

Tyson fully cooked Bac0on , 2 Pkgs for $5. Now the details are that there are only 2.2 OZ in a package. That's $18.18 a pound for bacon!!

It's going to get worse for Bacon, there is an expected shortage coming.

Hey my wife paid $.065 a piece for six cans of Campbell's Tomato Soup last week. Stop & Steal had a super sale, three for a DOLLAR, AND SHE USED A COUPON ON TOP OF THAT to get them for six and a half cents a piece. Max of six. She had enough coupons to get twenty four, but she would have had to go in and out of the store several more times and had to be somewhere.

If you haven't been paying attention, pretty much everything in the grocery store has been down sized. I've been in the business almost 30 years :smash:.

Yes but people still say "a half gallon of ice cream" and "a pound of coffee". :)
