If you're just looking to run Netflix, there are a ton of DVD players now that will do the same. We have a Sony BluRay that's hardwired that we run Hulu and Netflix off of. It also has a bunch of radio streaming sites on there that we'll use when guests are here or we're doing housework. I think it was $65 last black friday, $85 retail.

I have a roku that streams netflix. I bought it to stream hbo-go, but comcast blocks hbo-go so it cant be streamed. If you don't need the gaming part of the xbox, the roku is pretty nice since it is a really small box so it doesnt take up much space. The website is Roku Streaming Player | Roku Streaming Player (http://www.roku.com/). I think I paid $60 and I dont have a use for it since I also have a ps3 that streams netflix. If you want to make a donation toward my fund for a commando bag, I will send it to you.

we've got Roku, it's a tiny little box and does the job with no complaints, well one complaint is that Netflix is getting more expensive, so we only use it when they have the cheapie or freebee deals.
