Anyone fish from an 8 to 10ft inflable? I am considering this as schlepping a Kayak hurts my back. Looking at Sea Eagle 285 , Achilles, etc
View Full Version : Small Inflatable for fishing Jersey_Jim 11-04-2012, 09:10 AM Anyone fish from an 8 to 10ft inflable? I am considering this as schlepping a Kayak hurts my back. Looking at Sea Eagle 285 , Achilles, etc Jersey_Jim 11-06-2012, 08:52 AM Take a look at the Sea Eagle 285 and tell me what you think. It can handle a small outboard or electric motor. http://www.seaeagle.com/FramelessPontoonBoats.aspx BigBo 11-06-2012, 09:07 AM I think I'd rather invest in a trailerable small aluminum skiff. Sliding it on and off the trailer would be easier on the back and overall, I think much safer in the bays and inlets. Jersey_Jim 11-06-2012, 09:48 AM BigBo, I should have added what lead up to this: I have a couple of herniated discs. My Kayak sits unused cause I tweaked my back putting on and off. Took me 6 weeks to get back to felling OK. Can't store a boat where I live, so I got to thinking this would be an option for local ponds, rivers and bays. I have a Chevy equinox SUV. Years ago I was in the Keys and met a guy from MA who have one of these and a small motor in his TRUNK! That dude caught some serious fish just out of casting range whilst I drooled with envy BigBo 11-06-2012, 09:52 AM I guess in that case I'd say give it a go. Just be safe and don't take any chances. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
