Great way to help out and get yourself a new surf rod.

Advanced Fishing USA
Announcing "Sandy Sticks"
Proceeds of Century Rod Sales to Benefit Hurricane Victims

In the spirit of fishing for a cause, Advanced Fishing USA will donate $100 from the sale of each rod to Hurricane Sandy survivors for the next two weeks.

The storm affected us as a fishing community in numerous ways, especially our friends on the northern Atlantic seaboard. Many lost their homes and possessions – and rebuilding from this epic storm will be no easy feat.

We want to help as best we can. So, by ordering your rod directly from the Hatteras Island location of Advanced Fishing, we will donate portions to a grass-roots fund to help our friends in ravaged areas of the northern Atlantic seaboard, namely New Jersey and New York.

Because of the widespread damage in our dealership area, we cannot offer this in our locations.

The proceeds will go to grass root organizations, such as East End Cares and NJ Hurricane Relief Fund.

Covers all rods in the Century Line up.

FYI - SGT Striper PM'd me on this yesterday - and it is approved once we know where the money will be donated (ie Red Cross, etc)

The moneys will be donated to local charities so it gets right to the people affected!! A list of said charities will be posted soon as they are checked out.
We are checking out a couple in NJ and NY and will get a list up as soon as I can!

Cool - local charities are fine - just want real local charities. Not insinuating anything negative, just want real charities, not ones that take 70% to operate and get 30% to those that need it ;)

That's exactly what we are looking into, one reason R.C. is not on the list.

NJ Hurricane Relief Fund will be one

A friends ;) I am going to get set up this winter though. I went through four guides a butt section and 2 tips this year I am kind of a menace to my stuff. I am going to build my own wrapping lathe this winter. I have a variable speed blue print machine that is very obsolete I will be constructing it out of. Mounting t tracks for thread tensioning etc.

If you want a guide layout to start with I can measure mine, not sure if you need it or not. The factory custom layout is real nice and works well with large and small diameter reel spools.

I know MacoJoe has a homemade rod building machine, you may want to send him a PM...
