After over 35 years at the same job today was the last day!. Before I started the job years ago I was pretty much a commercial bass fisherman and a guitar player....gone full circle and now plan to occupy my remaining time with bird dogs, bass and a lot of playing the blues! Just hope the price on bass next year is good!

congrats, I am sure you've earned it. Those are exactly my plans when I retire - fish and play guitar.
Keep yourself upbeat and active. I've seen some guys go though a rough patch at first, difficult to adjust to not working, feeling valued, etc. Enjoy life and your new occupation!

Congratulations. I've been doing the same thing for 33 years, I doubt in 2 years I'll be on this board saying the same thing.

Best of enjoyment to you.

Good for You. Enjoy your time. Sounds like fun.
Man I have been doing same trade for 35 years too but I got a 12 year old daughter who will need to go to college so I'm in for another 12 years probably. Wish I could retire today.

Thanks guys...and Paul paying of the mortgage and loans for my son's college education was the final hurdle...maybe you'll get lucky and she'll fall for a rich guy...keep her away from fishermen!

congratulations......I did it 10yrs ago with no regrets. For the next few weeks it's going to seem like you're on a long vacation.the biggest change I felt was looking at a $20 bill differently.
