Does anyone have a link to a decent length / girth conversion chart? We released a 46" bass with a 37" girth on Friday but had no scale on board. I cannot find a decent conversion chart.
Thanks, Hooper

The formula is Girth X Girth X Length / 800 GxGxL/800= weight in pounds .. But using that formula that fish would have been around 78 pounds (and likely a world record fish!). BUT 37 inches seems off for the girth. On the 53 pounder I've seen, the fish was 48 x 29.5 and that was a fat fish... Got any pics? Johnny Two Legs 06-03-2003, 07:20 AM Here's a Length/Age/Weight chart: http://www.stripersurf.com/ageweight.html From my experience, it's pretty good at determining the weight of a striper given a certain length. It can though, be off a little, but for the most part it does it's job well. Let me know what else you find??? hunan 06-03-2003, 08:38 AM with a 27" inch girth it would be a 42lb. bass. (41.91)lbs. that sounds more like it. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
