Hi all, I'm launching out of the bass river in Dennis next Saturday. Has anyone heard of any reports of bluefish in the area? Fished there last year about this time with no luck. :(

We got TONS of blues 2 weekends ago, just east of there closer to Harwich. They were everywhere! Managed to land 2 that were in the 34" range. They were mostly on top, but a lot on the fish finder down to about 20ft (stripers?) Couldn't catch the stripers though.... only 2 schoolies. Will try again this weekend!

Thanks for the info strippersearch. I was checking out on the water and saw that fluke and seabass were outside the bass river and stripers along Billingsgate. Hopefully the blues will cooperate as well! :D

Kippy - funny you say that. caught some good size 20" seabass this weekend (probably by mistake). caught tons of blues in the same place as last time. still no stripers... :( maybe next week.

Hey Strippersearch, Fished about 2 miles or so near Harwich from the Bass River and found some unbelievable bottom fishing! Probably caught close to 20 seabass with the largest 17", 5lbs. Some nice fluke as well (4 keepers) No blues to be seen anywhere though, very strange. I will post some pics when I get them. :D

Hi Guys-

I fish from BR and it has gotten good recently. What was a morning game has slowly shifted to an afternoon one. We were doning very well with stripers on the bottom up to 46" with bluefish up higher to the surface.

Bishop & Clerks is good still, but it will be cooling off rapidly as the water warms, but there will still be blues around for sure. Also try west towards the Horseshoe Shoal area. There are always some bluefish to be found there.

Good Luck!
