We can do it just like last year, each guy makes one plug for the person who's name he draws. Maybe do repro's of some classic's this year. Last year we did 2 plugs at the last minute and had the auction for Bill and Jules. Maybe do the same this year for a worthy cause!

And Paul you can do one or two plugs in your sleep!

That's 7, let's let It ride for a few weeks to see if there is more interest. No rush on this. Anyone have any ideas for this?

Personally, I like the swaps where everybody gets 1 plug from each builder involved.

Say you have 7 people, you make 7 plugs and send them to the organizer, with money to cover shipping, he then packages up 6 plugs (1 from each builder other than you) and sends you a "Care" package of 6 plugs. The 7th plug goes to JohnR to Auction/Raffle off for the site or other worthy Charity.

You limit it out to maybe 10 people max.....so you don't spend all winter making 30 plugs just for the swap :hihi:

this is just my 2 cents.....I'll do it however you want. I'm easy :hee:

Would prefer to choose the type of plug myself, as I have limited time, experience and tools.

Perhaps a theme that will encourage the less experienced guys to get involved, and in so doing learn from the mavens like Ted and Numby.

I would be interested but only for one or two, not 10. I'm getting very close to finishing up a strip built Mahogany kayak, and have not yet stepped into the lure shop to blow the dust off the equipment.

I'd do as many as 8, but that's my limit. Two sounds good though :tooth:

Why not pick a name to build for and then do a random drawing so each participant gets two plugs?

And I like the idea of doing lipless

I made some giant needles for the Block. I'll make 1 as part of my 3.

I'm good with everyone just picking a plug style to do. How does the end of January sound for a finish date? Everyone gets two plugs, and one for auction for the site! Think I'm going to build some HUGE needles in BI Neon. 12 to 14". Tail sink so they stay up in the bubble weed on the Block.

Lipless swimmer is fine with me I've been wanting to try one for a while, it'll be my first time but thanks to ProfM I'm well on my way. Though I'm sure I may have some questions along the way.

I got the bodies done, weighted and sanded, Just need to drill, seal and make perty now. :biglaugh:

On a side note: John Habs JR. was a graphic design intern with me for about a year and he gave me some of the wood his dad had left behind in the shop. I thought that an SB swap was the perfect way to utilize this nice mahogany.

Darters about 6 inches and will weigh 3.5 to 4+oz. Made for heavy current.

Whenever, 31st is good, we can always add a week or two if anyone is behind.

I stopped working for PE at the end of Dec so I had some free time to make a small batch of Blondterror Juniors... 3 of these are for the January Swop (The Greek , Piemma, and a Fundraiser plug) one for me. These are based on the BM Junior (Lip, hook position, and body shape) I tried 3 woods (White cedar, Red Cedar, and pine) I think the white cedar will be the best but they all are within 1/8 oz after i added a little more belly lead to the red cedar.

They weigh 2 oz prior to clear coating and rigging with 3/0 belly and 5/0 dressed siwash

OK, my two guys have their plugs but I am at paint stage on the plug for the Board. Unfortunately I have to hit the road Sunday morning for a 4 day swing from PVD to Charlotte, Atlanta, Philly, Cleveland and Cincinnati. I will not be back till Thursday night. I'll paint next weekend.

I hate to say this Guys but I gotta Bail.....I adjusted the list to remove me and get plugs distributed correctly.

I've been to swamped to get anything done....haven't even cleaned the garage so I can start.

Sorry About this....

I haven't given up guys. Still not moved yet due to last minute problems, but I did unpack my airbrush picked up some paint and in a few hoping to lay down some finishes. Thanks for your patience..
