Hey everyone, I hope all is well out there in plug building land.
Time to start thinking about the date for Plugfest so we can secure the hall again. I think John liked the Elks hall we had it at last year, plenty of room for all.

so what dates are there already other events being held on like the fishing shows etc.? we want to avoid them if possible.

first week or 2 in March seems to work

so throw some dates out and I'll put up a poll

Here are some dates for upcoming shows. Not sure when Mass Bass is, havent found a date. I copied and pasted them so I believe they are correct.

N.E. Hunting and Fishing Show - Hartford,Conn Feb 15-17

Surf Day - Feb 23

International Custom Rod Builders Expo in N.C. - Feb 23-24

Berkley Fishing Flea Market - March 3

RISAA - March 8-10

Somerset Saltwater Expo - March 15-17

then maybe March 16th will work
hopefully MSBA won't be that weekend

Even if MSBA is that weekend, they're pretty close together it might be a perfect marriage.

I am going to try to make this one and maybe cover it for the magazine. It has been a looong time since I attended a Plugfest event (probably going way back to when we held it in Slipknots garage).

all is well.... Nancy and I will be there.. she said it is the high light of the winter for her.. and she wouldn't miss it for anything... her St. patty's day party will be moved to another date...

Guys...I am so envious! I am all the way down in North Carolina and would love to be able to attend a gathering like Plugfest! I have been making plugs for years and really get tons of great information off of this site and others like it! Please post plenty of pics!

4 weeks to go.... I need to get a couple more runs of plugs going so I have them finished in time. Probably put 18 spooks out into other's hands so far.... but then I feel like I'm gonna be light coming into Plugfest.:smash:. It's all good.

Any suppliers going to have ball rasps available?

I hear you Ross. I am sealing stuff this weekend, done turning. Priming next weekend, maybe some this week. Nowadays I make about 1/3 of what I used to and still find myself behind.

I posted that I'd be able to get some AYC for those interested. So far only one guy has responded. I don't think I'll drive to the saw mill (@ $3.75/gallon) to pick up wood for one guy. I do this only as a favor to fellow builders.

I hope to get into plug building soon now that I have more time on my hands. I'd love to get a look at a Reverse Atom,,,, plastic, amber color,,, kind of see through.
Always had good luck with that plug,,,

So I was planning on attending Plugfest this Saturday at the same time that I have been planning a big family get together on Saturday at my house. It wasn't until just yesterday that I realized March 16 of Plugfest is the same as March 16 of the family deal. I guess having a newborn in the house will do that to you. :smash:
