I called the VFW this late morning and the 23th of February is still available. I will be in that area "only for tomorrow, Tuesday." The VFW has noted in their appointment book that date and that I will be going by tomorrow to give a deposit.
First we need the OK by JohnR and if course the Bombay brothers need to commit to being there for their fine hospitality for preparing the food. I need an answer before 6:00pm Tuesday, today would be nice

To Freakin' Cold To Fish Night. It is a gathering of the craziest members on this site for food, drink, prizes, a usually great presentation by The Bossman of the year in review and, most importantly, a way we raise money to keep John and this site running and solvent.

Everyone brings food. Many contribute prizes to be raffled off and all the money goes to the site. Held at the Fairhaven VFW hall. This year Feb23.

Gonna be a long day.... Plum Island annual event that morning and afternoon, TFCTFN after... Lot of miles. The other half is getting in from a week long European business trip the night before.... and I still got the full pass! Just hope for good weather.

MacoJoe.... please try this.... Go down to wallyworld (walmart) and pick up a Pair of Yellow lens Shooting Glasses
It makes driving at night a breeze...
IN FACT...you can stare directly into oncoming headlights
and it won't bother you at all
....as it reduces the glare incredibly and it BRIGHTENS the night into a much more see-able situation....
they work really well

...and on GLOOMY weather days where dark blue
rain/snow clouds are rolling in... it makes it Appear as if the Sun is trying to shine thru... and even improves your Mood.

The wooden box drum that poorly mixes the tickets should still be brought to TFCTFN as a backup.
