I am in love jon2465 12-12-2012, 06:21 AM i like it alot too but man is it sour zimmy 12-12-2012, 01:38 PM It is definitely sour, but I found it to be pleasantly sour. One should not expect it to taste like harpoon or sierra nevada pale ale, that is for sure. jon2465 12-12-2012, 05:25 PM dont get me wrong i like it i just did not expect it to be on par with cascade or russian river and it was.... very good sour from petrus zimmy 12-12-2012, 08:00 PM I haven't had the Russian river sour yet, but it is on its way from santa rosa ca in a couple of weeks in my friends trunk. I think they are NASTY Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device zimmy 12-13-2012, 09:17 AM They have sort of been trendy for half a decade or so. I don't know when it transitions to something else, but I don't anticipate much of a regression. Good ones at least should stick around. Some of the smaller breweries will give up on them due to the inconsistencies of open fermentation. Also, I am generally a fan of nasty things. Sour beers, eels, and honey badgers in particular. The Dad Fisherman 12-13-2012, 10:06 AM Thats the beauty of what's going on with beer now-a-days. 25 years ago for the most part all you saw were American Beers (Bud, Miller, Michelob, and Light Beers) and for imports you were seeing Canadian Beers, Heineken, and Becks....and remember Lowenbrau :hee: Now there seems to be no end to the flavors and styles of beer you can find. the creativity is through the roof. Some people like sour, some like fruity, some like bitter, some like sweet.....all kinds of options. I don't think I've picked up the same beer twice this year. I'm a big fan of the 22 oz. bottle too....I don't have to commit to a six pack :hihi: jon2465 12-13-2012, 05:59 PM I haven't had the Russian river sour yet, but it is on its way from santa rosa ca in a couple of weeks in my friends trunk.
