I have no problem with them getting rid of Youk. He wasn't hitting, and a change of scenery didn't change that when he went to the White Sox....still wasn't hitting. He batted .258 in 2011 and .236 last year.

The Yank-mees are paying him 12 mil for the year....to hopefully continue not hitting. Granted they need a 3rd baseman and that was the primary reason they grabbed him. He'll probably torch the sox a few games next season as well :hee:

I appreciate everything the guy did for us, but he looked to be on the downside of his career. He'll be 34 next year.

plus he couldn't remain healthy. Liked him as a Sox , will hate him as a Yank me

There was a kid in high school that used to always go after my sloppy seconds - not much different than the Yankee's always picking up the Red Sox's sloppy seconds.
