This from Craig Cantelmo- not an advertisement just a report I thought would be of interest:

VS/VSB

Upgraded Traverse Guide. They are working on a redesigned new beefed up Traverse Guide that will look like the current guide but have supporting braces built all around it (hard to explain- but I saw the picture) and to be made out of stronger stainless -14/7? Not sure when it will be available but will be able to replace the guide on current reels. He may have said that with some models- another part would have to be replaced along with the new Traverse Guide. Maybe I should not have had a few beers before the meeting.

Ceramic Bearings The new Bearings with the ceramic ball bearings are in all new reels sold and if you send in for service will replace with the new bearings. Pat Abate's shop already has them. I think he said small up-charge?

Reel foot Eventually- the reel feet on the 200 and 250 will have not have a reel foot that is bolted in- but will be on piece with the body as the 100 and 150 are now. I saw he had a 100 all one piece.

Gold Reels No more being produced.

VM

Coming out with a bail-less kit for the VM 150

Coming out with a VM 275- when?

Pliers

The stainless pliers are being phased out to be replaced by a titanium model in a couple of years.
