I think we made out like bandits this year. First getting the bye week and second getting matched up against Houston in the first game. now we still have to play good but I think we can beat Houston. Hope its a nice day (early forcast is for warm ) and we get 40 points! :)

Have to aggree... the stars aligned nicely... this game wont be a cake walk but the pats should be able to win by at least 10... i like that the Ravens go to Denver.. ... I hope it's 10 below zero and a blizzard and Ray Lewis pop's Manning a half dozen times..... any which way the Ravens will give them a game.. I dont think they will win but it will be a dog fight..... and should the Pat's take care of buisness.... they will get a battered team no matter who wins in Denver..

Pats will win easily this weekend.
So will Denver.
Pats & Denver should be a good game but I think Peyton has the most complete team in his career and Denver will beat the Pats.

Honestly Denver scares me a little, but I think the Pats can pull it of if the run the huury up, and confuse the #^&#^&#^&#^& out of the Denver D. I sure as hell don't want to be sending two lobsters to my wife's cousin in Denver this year, I kind of like getting the steak... :uhuh:

I think Baltimore has as good a chance as any team to knock off Denver. "On any given Sunday"....or Saturday in this case ...things happen.

on any given sunday (or Saturday)... the Ravens are A little healthier than they were when they last met Mr. Manning.. I still think Denver wins... but it will be their hardest fought game in quite some time... The Pat's have had their way with the Denver "D" the last three meetings.. I suspect more of the same if they should meet... especialy with both gronk and hernandez on the field..

I still expect a dog fight from Huston... I would like to think they are not as spineless as they have appeared as of late... i expect them to come out slinging and swinging...but in the end.. I dont think they can muster enough offence to beat a superior team....

I like this matchup also
I will watch Wilfork all day and see how he does, I bet he has another great game.
Having Gronk back will help a lot
Brady should have a good game, it's the playoffs so let's have some consistency Tom.
The Pats CANNOT turn the ball over, protect that ball!

We don't have to worry about Denver next week, but the Ravens will be tough as well. A win today will be great to get another home AFC championship game to go to where the Pats have never lost one. The only loss in 8 tries total was in Indy.

If the game goes smoothly we win. If , as Slip points out , we cough it up , we will be in trouble. I think with the two tight ends healthy we will score our points. we just need to control the ball.

Yes it would be a big mistake to look ahead to the Ravens. We got a battle to win today. The Pats have it drummed into them every day. No looking ahead , just concentrate on today and do your job!

Go Pats

Losing Gronk hurts us big against the Ravens next week. The tight ends is how we would have picked them apart. We still got a good tight end to throw at them but losing Gronk against that specific team hurts.

We can still go all the way. I'm not giving up on any SB hopes yet. Bottom line is we are a tough team. Yes we are vulnerable but you still need to play really good to beat us and if we get hot , nobody can score with us.

Go Pats.

They played alot of games without Gronk.. they will be OK.. providing they dont loose Welker, hernandez or any of the running backs...Supposedly "Woody " could have returned to the game ..Pat's have too many weapons.. I think they can "hurry up" those ravens to death...Baltimore has heart.. they are a good tough disiplined team... but I think they will suffer from fatigue... much like the Pats did when the Played the Chargers .. then went into INdy... in the end the "old men" ran out of gas... I expect that to be the case with the Ravens...they showed more heart than Denver ever thought of having... When ever did You see Manning take a knee in Indy with time left on he clock... the dude is soft now.. and he still can't play in the cold... would Brady or Belichick play for OT with a half minute on the clock in a place where 60 yard filed goals are as easy as a 45 yarder any where else...It'l be a street fight.. but second time around .. I like their chances .... Pats by 6

Plus a little gas on the fire may motivate the Pats a little more...

Ravens' Ayanbadejo gets a head start on trash talking the New England Patriots

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – An AFC championship game rematch between Baltimore and New England wasn't even set before tough talk from the Ravens began.

Baltimore linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo took to Twitter in the first half of New England's divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans and started blasting the Patriots hurry-up offense as a gimmick and mocking the organization for the 2007 "SpyGate" scandal.

Brendon Ayanbadejo (AP)"In a sport that is predicated on mano y mano, 'let's hurry-up n snap it' = bitchassness," Ayanbadejo tweeted.

With New England eventually beating the Texans 41-28, the Patriots will host Baltimore next Sunday with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line again. Ayanbadejo's comments are the first shot in what could be a contentious week of trash talk between the two AFC rivals.

New England edged Baltimore 23-20 in last year's AFC championship game, in part because the Ravens dropped a potential game-winning pass and missed a game-tying kick in the final seconds.

Ayanbadejo, after waves of negative reaction, backtracked from his comments on Monday, offering an apology via Twitter.

"I made selfish comments on twitter last night that reflected poorly upon myself, my teammates, and the organization," he tweeted. "For that I apologize."

The Patriots, famed for their focus, seemed unconcerned by the talk.

"The best thing we do is ignore the noise," quarterback Tom Brady told WEEI on Monday. "Nothing anyone says is going to affect us next week."

In the past, the Ravens players have been critical of New England, including Terrell Suggs pointing out that Brady pleads for calls with officials.

In piecing together some previous tweets, Ayanbadejo took issue with New England's tendency to snap the ball quickly in an effort to get defenses off balance. The Patriots have run more offensive plays this season than any team in the league.

New England scored an easy touchdown in the second quarter on an eight-yard Tom Brady to Shane Vereen pass in part because the Texans failed to line up properly before the quick hiking of the ball.

"New England does some suspect stuff on offense," Ayanbadejo, a three-time Pro Bowler, said on Twitter. "Can't really respect it. Comparable to a cheap shot [before] a fight.

"… the hurry snap offense catch [them before] they set up," Ayanbadejo continued. "It's a gimmick … Their offense is good enough to be successful without that."

Ayanbadejo also questioned the class of the Patriots organization.

"You know the same organization that did spygate and cut a guy the day [before] the Super Bowl," he said of receiver Tiquan Underwood, who was released the day before last year's Super Bowl to make room for a defensive end to be moved from the practice squad.

The rivalry between the two franchises and teams is intense. That the trash talk began before the matchup was even set and New England was still locked in a close game with the Texans sort of says it all.

Ayanbadejo even went to the ultimate Patriots taunt.

"18-1."
