View Full Version : Fish Pics
JohnR 06-06-2003, 07:59 AM Who's got Fish Pics from this year?? We can't let Mr Macey put us to shame with some dink bass. Let's see some fish (sadly I have not taken any pics yet but have only had 20 pounders :rollem: :D )
C'mon let's see 'em!
Notaro 06-06-2003, 08:03 AM how abt using my pic from MD? will it do, johnr?
Tattoo 06-06-2003, 08:06 AM Live Herring

Notaro 06-06-2003, 08:17 AM how abt this? it sure looks like a 20 lber...it's close to 20 lbs like 15 or 16v lbs.

Mr Macey - I'm not trying to sound like a bass snob but I don't take many pictures and I don't take many pics of fish under 25 pounds. Ask the guys I fish with, I really try to get 'em back in the water quick - often not stoping for taking the pic...
Look at Tattoo's face - he's thinking "....not taking a picture of this rat bass..."
Notaro 06-06-2003, 08:23 AM it's close to 20 lbs. it was caught this year on april 19, 2003.
Tattoo 06-06-2003, 08:35 AM Look at Tattoo's face - he's thinking "....not taking a picture of this rat bass..."
actually I was thinking.......
son of a !&@(....Iron Man is going to catch one of the monsters that was down there with this one that I missed while I wait for Corey to figure out how to work the camera.
It's so rare I fish during the daytime.....nevermind getting a chance to go on a boat and fish.
JohnR 06-06-2003, 08:45 AM Notaro - if that was closer to 20#s you'd be straining more holding it so far away with just one hand. One carries batteries close to the body - not far from it - and batteries are what 20 plus or so pound fish feel like. And one doesn't hold them straight out above shoulder height.
How long was it...
Tat - so did the Iron man find the horse?
Tattoo 06-06-2003, 09:15 AM The Iron Man left his lucky horseshoe at home....for once!
We managed 5 fish that day....lost 3, some monsters were down there, but no hookups. Fish in the 15 - 20lb class.
It nice to watch herring get molested. :)
Notaro - you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
Krispy 06-06-2003, 09:31 AM Uh, I just seen DaveS' pics and I think you got a winner for the front page John

PS - Check your PMs
Duke41 06-07-2003, 03:31 PM Went out to the ledge today. I marked more fish there than ever before by a factor of 5 or so. I have been fishing the Ledge for years and never have I seen so many fish. Keep this one for a dinner party tonight. This fish is the dinner not my date.:laughs: By the number of fish I have seen so far this year and the size this should be a unbelivable season.
Bob Thomas 06-07-2003, 04:37 PM 32#'s caught on live herring in early May.....biggest this year...so far ;)
Christian 06-08-2003, 11:18 AM heres my friend this morning with his first fly caught schoolie on the rod and reel he bought yesterday.

Notaro 06-08-2003, 11:55 AM nice set-up you got there, christain. i like your rod. and as for your friend, his fly setup is cool. the fly reel looks awfully big.

Like 2 peas in a pod :D
Here’s one I took:
Block Island Grilled Striped Bass w/bouillabaisse and steamed littlenecks
I caught it and Chef Dave Morrison of BI’s Old Towne Inn prepared it....
Perhaps a Sauvignon Blanc and a good after-dinner cigar would be a nice accompaniment?

backlasher 06-11-2003, 09:15 PM WhaTTAH you from Maine or Maryland (looks small unless there!)?...If legal though, those are the ones to keep (let the big ones go and eat the low PCB smallies). Plus the fish grows a foot if you caught it conventional, another foot if on lure, and two more feet if caught from shore (so u might have an "equivlanet" 50-pounder there)...tell it to the judge if you cross state lines!
B.L.
backlasher 06-11-2003, 09:22 PM Nice Fish...note: my thread referred to Christian's earlier post (schoolie on conventional)...somehow it ended up here. No disrespect meant on size...but..since you mentioned it...as for bass kissing: "keep it private in public". Have your fun, but respect the animal you kill.
B.L.
Slipknot 06-11-2003, 09:32 PM Oh, I respected her in the morning, don't you worry.:p
