As the story unfolds, it gets more and more messed up.. Kid was a former Marine having issues with PTSD and Kyle was trying to help him out. What a shame :( Rest in Peace

Makes no sense to me to take a guy having mental illness issues to a range and put a gun in his hand. Sad to see a nice guy trying to help someone get killed but I just see no sense in what he was doing.

Heard on the news today that he had been taken to a mental hospital twice in the last 4 months. First time was for threatening to kill his family. Second time was for threatening to kill himself.

Man, that is sad.

Chris ran a charity for returning veterans, that are dealing with PTSD, and other disabilities. Not sure if Chris was privy to the reports of this kid threatening to kill himself or his family, but I gotta say if he was I doubt he would have taken him to the range. Very sad indeed, as he leaves a wife and two young children.

RIP CHief, God has added another Warrior to his Army of Angels.

There is the question, regardless of his good intent, if he was engaging in amateur psychotherapy.
