Does anyone have a mung report for the backside of the Cape from the Hollows to the Race? I know it blew east for about a year now, but is there any clean water down that way? We should get a weekly mung tracker going.

:kewl: I was out there Friday all day Pops02 and I keep looking for you but I have not seen you yet. Great day though, fish all up and down the beach in close but very pickey. Nothing bigger than say 25". We caught a bunch though.:bounce:

1 fish all weekend. 36" at #^^%$0 Beach at 2 am yesterday on a black and purple Gibbs surface swimmer. Last night was long, cold , and just miserable for me. Not a sniff from race to Newcomb hollow. Sure was a dark one with a lot of fire in the water. Saw one fish 29" caught on an eel up in Truro.:wall: Should have stayed home. Water was clean every where I went, which was a lot of places. , but since the wind kicked around to the east about 1 this morning, that could all change.

What the hell does mung mean?

You'll know if you find it:D I believe it is a form of algea that blooms out in the warmer water. When ya get an east running wind it blows the crap right in near the beaches. make a cast (especially if bait fishing) and spend 10 minutes cleaning it off of your line.
