BBC News - Mosquitoes ignore repellent Deet after first exposure (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-21519998)

We'll have to remember this when the warm windless nights of summer lead to our annual mosquito discussion...

must remember that skeeters have a tasting straw
with smell sensors on it...

they smell skin before ever dipping the straw (in hover-mode)
they don't like skin or BLOOD with vitamin B1 in it..

what i do is use a cup of yogurt to mix a hefty tablespoon of
brewer's yeast in it stirred up and consumed 30 minutes before
goin out in skeeto land...

some people also put a bounce rag for anti static for dryers
on their hat... when the goin gets rough

Hmmmm.... never heard of the dryer sheet method, hafta give that one a try. I remember those sheets being quite handy for helping keep dorm rooms odor free, especially when crumpled up and stuffed into an empty paper towel roll... :smokin: :hihi:

LOL we'll say odor resistant. still got busted once :rotf2:

I'm deffinately trying raven's mosquito vodoo trick though. Don't they do a coast wide mosquito spray in MA? I remember last year they were tamed quite well for a period, but then came back really strong at one point

So if I take B1 I won't have to wear a bathysphere at the ditch
