caught my first fish on homemade plug!!:cool:

or should I say, my first THREE fish...............

fishin' jersey coast this morning and on my fifth cast the water around my plug (popper) explodes like I never seen before....

well now the battle is on.... I'm thinkin' I've got a really GOOD fish on..I'm gettin' a real good fight but managed rather quickly to beach the fish (low waves).....

Well surprise, surprise.... not one fish, not two, but three blues all on the same cast.....

seems like they not only love my new homemade plug:happy: .... but my homemade teaser too:happy: :happy:

Now that's a great beginning to plug building!!!!

Way to go! Congrats it must feel really special to fool fish with something you've created.I'm looking in my freshwater tacklebox now to see if any of those lures can cross over to the surf. I'm wondering how a jitterbug might do?

What kind of plug is it? Any way you can post a pic?

thanks guys, I could'nt believe it myself.... I just stood there and said this was thee worst time to not only be ALL alone, but to also have forgotten to pack a camera........anyway, the plug is your basic pencil popper(I guess) that I just sprayed two shades of gray......certainly not a work of art, but O.K. with the blues here!!!! Rocketman, don't know how to post a pic , unless someone tells me how!!!
BTW, the teaser is (was, a another blue shreded it) a homemade clouser........
